In preparation for National chemistry Week, a group of students and I created two short lesson plan for grades K – 6 related to the theme “Marvelous Metals” in about four months. From November 12th – 15th 2019, we visited classrooms in the Rochester City School District to present the lesson plans and conduct experiments for the students! We taught them the very basics of oxidation and magnetic forces while staying in the marvel theme.
